KC CRACKELEE 2.0, CRACK POWDER FOR PAINTINGS

KC Crackelee 2.0 a crackling powder that is applied as a cream especially for paintings.

Available in 100 and 250 grams.

Instructions:

• Mix the powder with some (light) KeraCoat to a thick stiff mass, which remains spreadable. Mix well! (Kind of monchou spread)
• Use the brush to apply a layer of KeraCoat (preferably a dark color) to the surface where the KC Crackelee 2.0 should come. Allow to dry.
• Apply the mass of KeraCoat and KC Crackelee 2.0 powder to the right spot with a palette knife.
• Let it dry … The thick layer will crack when drying. This takes at least 24 hours!

Blow drying does not help. This dries only the top layer and the tearing starts at the bottom. However, you can, if it is dry, manipulate the fabric to make the cracks bigger. By then sprinkling it with KC bister (liquid) the cracks are accentuated.
